Towel rails should be installed clear of any opening doors or obstacles and near enough to be able to reach from the bath or shower. If the towel rail needs to be placed further away from the bath or shower, you may want to consider also installing a wall hook above the bath or next to the shower for hanging the towel while you bathe.
